She loves designing for new brands and utilizing her design thinking and experience in brand strategy, brand design and packaging to bring life to any idea that can be sketched on the back of a napkin.
Creation is in my blood. I get this from my father, as he has been in the consumer packaged goods business since before I was born.
As a child we would wander through grocery stores from Lincoln, Nebraska to rural Germany. We would walk into the local market and he would beam with pride when something he had made would show up on the store shelves.
He would tell me stories of the people behind the products, like Naomi, a WWII holocaust survivor, who created an international brand that I could find in our suburban Chicago grocer.
Products and the packages they were in had much larger meanings because there were real people behind them.
That package was someone's story and hard work.
